Under the ABACO project in which Direção Regional do Ambiente e Alterações Climáticas is a partner, a public meeting was held to present the outcome of this project, including the official launch of "Bathing Waters" of Madeira and Porto Santo mobile app developed by WOW.

The app allows users to explore all the beaches and bathing waters in the archipelago, viewing characteristics, available services, water quality and analytic reports. The app also allows users to submit reports on pollution to the authorities and check warnings and prohibitions.
